About
I'm a freelance photographer, writer and playwright. Originally from Lancashire, now based in SE London.
I like to write about cinema, photography and politics. My journalism has appeared in The Guardian, Metro, Little White Lies, A Rabbit's Foot, Verso, Observer and several other publications.
My plays have performed at Theatre503, Riverside Studios, Camden People's Theatre and several other theatres in London and Edinburgh.
My professional photography work has mainly been in the theatre sector, but I also shoot portraits, scenes on the street and anything that takes my fancy. My work was shortlisted for the 2023 Photography Foundation Awards.
I was a member of the Young Vic’s 2022 cohort of young theatre-makers and my plays have reached the final 100 submissions for the Soho Theatre’s Verity Bargate Award and have been long listed in the RSC's 37 Plays project and by the Traverse Theatre. I was a finalist for the Peter Shaffer Postgraduate Award for Playwriting in 2022.
Alongside my freelance work, I also work in the NGO sector. After having worked for several international development organisations, I now work part-time for the International Broadcasting Trust, a charity that connects INGOs to the media and campaigns for greater global storytelling for British audiences.
(I also have a cat.)
